Philadelphia Eagles (11-1) at New York Giants (7-4-1)

Sunday, December 11, 1:00 PM ET

The Philadelphia Eagles look like one of the NFL’s most well-oiled machines here 12 games into the 2022 season. They are clearly the front-runners right now in the NFC with their division rivals in Dallas right on their heels. Although the New York Giants were also once in that conversation, they have had a huge reality check over the last month and have struggled to gain any ground in the win column.

After starting the season 7-2, the Giants have stumbled in their last three games, losing two and tying this past weekend against the Commanders.

Side note: Does that mean Taylor Heinicke still gets Jordans? Or no? Probably not.

Although they technically didn’t “lose” to the Commanders, the Giants also lost ground with the Cowboys winning this weekend. Thankfully, there aren’t a bunch of powerhouses across the NFC this season, so the Giants’ playoff chances are still intact. And how often can they wear the uniforms we saw them in this past weekend? Those are clean.

Even though the Giants are playing at home in this one, the Philadelphia Eagles seem like a huge mismatch. The Eagles can seemingly toy with opposing defenses given how many ways they can win offensively. Is the Giants’ stellar defensive front up to the task here? If the Eagles start scoring points in bunches, can the Giants keep up in a shootout?

As great of a story as the Giants have been most of the season, there’s no way I’m taking them over the Eagles right now with the way the Eagles have been playing. That’s not to say the Giants have no shot in this one, it’s simply got everything to do with how complete of a team the Eagles have been and how they are seemingly getting better as the season goes along.

Prediction: Eagles win 30-21
