3 changes the Buffalo Bills must make to starting lineup before Week 15
David Quessenberry replaces Spencer Brown at right tackle
The Buffalo Bills are fortunate to have a mobile quarterback like Josh Allen. The way he is able to move in the pocket and scrambles limits the number of sacks and negative plays the offense has to account for.
Even with Allen’s ability, he could use a little more help from his offensive line. One area that has been a problem for most of the season has been at right tackle with Spencer Brown.
The hope was that last year’s third-round pick would take a step forward in Year 2 but that progression hasn’t been there. He has struggled against opposing pass rushes and the Bills should consider making a switch to David Quessenberry.
Quessenberry is a veteran offensive tackle who was signed as a free agent this offseason. He spent the majority of training camp and preseason with the starters as Brown worked his way back from an offseason back procedure. He also has stepped in as a starter when Brown or Dion Dawkins has missed time but it is now time to turn to him being the full-time starter with Brown’s recent struggles.
