The Eagles’ defensive front can dominate

The Philadelphia front will present a huge problem for the Chicago Bears offensive line. They are not only talented but also deep. They can send waves of players and wear down opposing offensive lines. The Bears’ line is a bit hamstrung due to injuries so this is a bad matchup for the unit.

The Eagles do a great job of pressuring and getting to the quarterback. They lead the league in sacks with 49. Additionally, they rank third in quarterback pressures at 25 percent.

The Bears are a rebuilding team. General manager Ryan Poles can look to the Eagles and how they built the defense. The current defense is the exact opposite of Philadelphia’s. They are not pressuring the quarterback and cannot get sacks. Chicago ranks 27th in quarterback pressure percentage and last in sacks.

The Bears will have to use the tight ends to help out the offensive line. They need to chip on their way out or get in there and block to open holes and protect quarterback Justin Fields.

While it may hurt to see what the Eagles’ front could do to the Bears’ offensive line, we could see the blueprint of how Chicago’s defense could return to greatness.
