Philadelphia Eagles (13-1) at Dallas Cowboys (10-4)

Saturday, December 24, 4:25 PM ET

And here it is — the NFL’s matchup of the week. The Philadelphia Eagles are red hot once again with five straight victories and more wins this season than any other NFL team. They are no. 1 in the power rankings for a variety of reasons, but the Eagles are mostly healthy on both sides of the ball, at least with their key players.

That has helped pave the way for this team to have some of the best chemistry you’ll see on a week-to-week basis in the NFL.

After their win against the Chicago Bears, the Eagles now know they can borderline coast into the postseason. This game against the Dallas Cowboys could potentially have some implications on the NFC East, however, if Dallas can win out the rest of the season and the Eagles somehow find a way to lose a few games in December and January.

The big question in this game will be whether or not the Dallas Cowboys can find a way to bounce back after a brutal loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars this past weekend. The Cowboys led 27-10 and seemingly had it in the bag…before Rayshawn Jenkins stole said bag in overtime and took it for himself.

From an NFL picks perspective, how do you go about this game? Do you bank on the Cowboys reeling a little bit after that loss to the Jaguars, or do you view the Jags as a bit of a trap game for the Cowboys, who were perhaps looking one week ahead to this matchup against Philadelphia?

The Eagles got the Cowboys earlier this season and I think Dallas has obviously had this one circled ever since. I don’t think the Cowboys are going to come out flat this time against Philadelphia after a couple of really flat games (especially defensively) against the Texans and Jaguars.

I think a lot of people are going to be playing it safe on this one and picking the Eagles, even on the road, and especially after Dallas blew it against Trevor Lawrence. I’m going against the grain and making this my upset pick of the week.

Prediction: Cowboys win 33-30
