Pick Analysis. CB. Oregon. Christian Gonzalez. 14. player. 52. Scouting Report

14. Jacksonville Jaguars: Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon

The Jacksonville Jaguars just won their third game in a row, knocking off the Jets 19-3. They also beat the Dallas Cowboys in overtime — in a huge comeback win — and the Tennessee Titans the week before that. Other impressive wins include a 38-10 victory over the Chargers and a one-point win over Baltimore.

At 7-8, they’ve made huge strides from where they were a season ago and with their roster being so young, their success should be sustainable.

While all that’s true, they really need to find a stud for the back end of their defense, which is what they get in Christian Gonzalez. He’s had a solid career but really improved his ball skills this season which leads to him cracking the top 15.

Pick Analysis. 15. player. Scouting Report. OT. Ohio State. Paris Johnson. 30

15. New York Jets: Paris Johnson, OT, Ohio State

It seems clear at this point that Zach Wilson isn’t the answer for the New York Jets. It was a head-scratcher that he went ahead of Justin Fields anyway, and the Jets are now seeing why that surprised some.

The problem is, they’ve been too good to replace him with a draft pick, so they’re likely going to have to find a bridge option such as Jacoby Brissett — and no, Mike White can’t be the guy because he seems to get hurt every time he gets a shot.

What they can do, is try and fix their struggling offensive line. Paris Johnson from Ohio State would be a major upgrade for them as a plug-and-play starter.
