2022 NFL Power Rankings Week 18: Tom Brady clinches, Aaron Rodgers on the verge
By Randy Gurzi
24. Carolina Panthers
Entering Week 17, the Carolina Panthers had won three of their previous four games and could have put themselves in a position to win the NFC South had they been able to knock off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
They even had a 21-10 lead in the fourth quarter as it looked as though they were going to upset the home team. But they then couldn’t stop Tom Brady as he threw two touchdown passes and then ran in another as the Bucs won 30-24.
Carolina had to watch as they celebrated a divisional win. Their final game will now be in New Orleans as they take on the Saints, who just beat the Eagles.
23. Tennessee Titans
Their start to the season was impressive as the Tennessee Titans were 7-3 in their first 10 games. Now, they just lost their sixth straight as the constant injuries have become too much to deal with. The good news is that Josh Dobbs looked the part against Dallas despite having just nine days with the team.
In Week 18, they’re sure to go with him once again over Malik Willis and this time, Derrick Henry should be back in the mix as well.
A win against the Jags and the entire six-game losing streak can be forgotten as it would give them the AFC South title. The problem is, while they’ve been struggling, Jacksonville has found its footing.
