20. Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns have been frustrating this season and Week 17 showed why that is. They’re just 7-9 after a win over Washington but their talent was on display. Nick Chubb had over 100 yards, the defense had two turnovers and a couple of sacks, and Amari Cooper had two touchdowns.

Almost all of the offensive output was in the second half as Deshaun Watson finally started to click. He completed only nine passes but three of those were for touchdowns and he had 31 yards as well.

Cleveland is playing for the future again as they’re trying to find some positive momentum to go into the offseason with. Sunday was a positive sign for them and a strong finish in Pittsburgh could help them end the year on a high note.

19. New Orleans Saints

Suddenly, the New Orleans Saints have reeled off three-straight wins to make the final weeks of the year interesting. They knocked off the Browns on the road in Week 16 by a touchdown — in one of the coldest games of the season. They then went to Philadelphia this weekend and won 20-10 against the Eagles.

Philly was without Jalen Hurts but Gardner Minshew is no slouch as the backup so the Saints still had to perform well. They’re now 7-9 overall and might have been able to win the South with a couple of breaks throughout the season.

The positive for them is that they didn’t give up after a 3-7 start as they kept fighting and could finish off the year on a high note.
