2023 NFL Mock Draft: Cowboys stock up offense, Panthers reach at QB

6. Detroit Lions (via Los Angeles Rams): Bryan Bresee, DT, Clemson
One of the surprise teams this season was the Detroit Lions. They completely turned things around after a slow start and even better for them, they get a premium pick since the Los Angeles Rams fell off the map.
With that pick, the Lions continue to bolster their defensive line by adding Bryan Bresee from Clemson. Bresee, a 6-foot-5, 300-pound defensive tackle, didn’t put up elite numbers for the Tigers but his athleticism is off the charts — as Josh Edwards of CBS Sports says.
"“Bresee was the nation’s No. 1 overall recruit coming out of high school. For an interior defender, he has great athleticism and good quickness. He uses his long arms to stack blockers while keeping his eyes in the backfield. The Maryland native carries his weight really well for his size. He can do a better job of exploding out of his stance and packing more pop in his punches. After suffering a torn ACL in 2021, Bresee is one to watch as a prospect who could achieve draft stardom.” — CBS Sports NFL Draft analyst Josh Edwards"
Detroit has come out looking great in the Matthew Stafford trade and can take yet another step with this addition. Not to mention, they get another pick later in this same round.
