46. . QB. Indianapolis Colts. C.J Stroud. 4. player

2023 NFL Draft Pick #4 – Indianapolis Colts: CJ Stroud, QB, Ohio State

Team Weakness; Quarterback

Signing Matt Ryan did not go as planned, and the Colts are back at the drawing board. The fourth pick in the draft should help Indianapolis exchange a tough season for a franchise player. Jonathan Taylor’s presence in the backfield is reassuring and will help the Colts’ front office focus on a team need in a highly talented draft class.

Selecting a quarterback will be a good move for Indy. Uncertainty at the position is at an all-time high after an unproductive season. In 2022, the Colts ranked twenty-third in passing yards (3,432) behind Ryan and Ehlinger. Investing in a solid prospect could avoid a scramble to fill the position down the line.

C.J. Stroud is the second-best quarterback in the draft class. His experience and leadership skills make him a top prospect for franchises searching for a gunslinger. In 2022, he accumulated 3,688 yards passing and 41 touchdowns. His four interceptions demonstrate his ball security skill – making him a game-changer on the field.

DL. Seattle Seahawks. Myles Murphy. 5. player. 36.

2023 NFL Draft Pick #5 – Seattle Seahawks: Myles Murphy, DL, Clemson

Team Weakness: Defensive Line

A first-round pick was (part of the) collateral for a trade with the Denver Broncos for Russell Wilson. Seattle made out like a bandit, finishing just outside of the playoffs with resources to stay relevant next season. Geno Smith performed better than expected, raising questions concerning his future with the team. If the Seahawks are satisfied with Smith, improving their defensive line will be the next move.

Myles Murphy is a prospect that sticks out among his peers. His six-foot-five frame aids him in defeating opposing blockers. While attending Clemson, Murphy has gained a reputation as the man on campus. His strength is absurd, making him a top pick.

Making the right selection requires months of film study, interviews, and patience. Coaching staffs are responsible for putting the best product on the field – starting in the off-season. The path to the draft will be exciting. Lives will be changed and franchises will improve – giving us all something to look forward to.
