It’s the NFL offseason for most of the league (18/32 teams, anyway) which means it’s time for plenty of fan fiction, so buckle in. One of the top subjects of NFL offseason fan fiction these days? Aaron Rodgers, of course.

Aaron Rodgers has been the subject of NFL offseason fan fiction for quite some time now, especially since trade rumors emerged about him on the night of the 2021 NFL Draft’s first round. Rodgers (seemingly begrudgingly) returned to the Packers in 2021 before signing an extension in the 2022 offseason that gave him the highest average annual pay of any player in NFL history.

Coming off of back-to-back MVPs, he was certainly deserving, but the Packers missed the playoffs after getting bounced early the last couple of years, and this year we saw a little bit of progression in the small sample we got of Jordan Love. Will the Packers try to trade Rodgers and his contract in a shocker, blockbuster of a deal in 2023?

Let’s explore, imagining that Rodgers could help facilitate a trade by restructuring his deal.

1. Las Vegas Raiders (reunion with Davante Adams)

28. . Las Vegas Raiders. 1. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis.

If you’re looking for the “odds-on” favorite for Aaron Rodgers, look no further. The Las Vegas Raiders are going to be a hot topic over the next handful of months because the team essentially has decided to move on from Derek Carr and is making sure there’s no doubt about that fact.

If Aaron Rodgers were to be traded to the Las Vegas Raiders, it would reunite him with Davante Adams. In Las Vegas, Rodgers would have plenty of weapons to get the ball to in the passing game with guys like Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller also on the Raiders’ roster right now, and Josh Jacobs is coming off of a fantastic season (although he’s hitting free agency).

The Raiders hold the 7th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and could offer plenty of additional draft capital to potentially acquire Rodgers. Expect the Raiders to be aggressive at QB one way or the other.
