The Tennessee Titans are one of a number of NFL teams in the 2022 offseason looking for a new general manager. Although the new GM of the Titans — whoever that may be — will inherit Ryan Tannehill, I would expect the Titans to go a different direction rather quickly at the QB position.

Although Joe Burrow hilariously stated the Bengals have a window as long as he’s their QB, the same is not true of the Titans. In fact, I would say the Titans got vastly more than anyone expected out of Tannehill, and the window they actually had with him always felt like they were on borrowed time.

Whoever the new GM of the Titans is, they owe it to Mike Vrabel — an absolutely outstanding head coach — to swing big at the quarterback position.

Rodgers would certainly qualify.

We’ve heard the Titans’ name pop up in the past regarding some blockbuster QB moves, but nothing materialized. Remember when they were allegedly going to give some ownership stake to Peyton Manning?

Landing someone like Aaron Rodgers could be massive for an organization that is truly ready to compete but doesn’t have the guy under center to push the team over the top. I think the combination of Rodgers’ abilities plus the coaching of Mike Vrabel could help the Titans dominate the AFC South in 2023, even with the emergence of Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars this year.
