DeAndre Hopkins destination no. 3: Chicago Bears

This is one of the more obvious teams to make the list. The Chicago Bears, specifically Justin Fields, need DeAndre Hopkins more than Hopkins needs the Bears. This would not be ideal for Hopkins as Fields still has much to be desired as a passer (as does Ryan Tannehill) but he would likely receive the bulk of the targets.

Fields thrived as a runner but suffered as a passer throwing a mere 2,242 yards with 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. The low numbers can be blamed on Fields’ ability as a passer but his assortment, or lack thereof, of receivers, is to blame as well. The Bears started the season with Darnell Mooney, Velus Jones Jr, and Equanimeous St. Brown as Fields’ top options. Not exactly a fearsome unit.

They later added former Steeler Chase Claypool to the roster but he failed to produce gathering only 140 receiving yards with zero touchdowns in 7 games. The Bears enter the draft with the first pick overall but if they trade that away they will have more than enough capital to send to Arizona to secure Hopkins.

Fields would have a reliable target that is a true number one receiver, something he has not had in his short tenure in Chicago.
