13. . 10-7. . Los Angeles Chargers. 9. team

9. Los Angeles Chargers

The Bolts won five of their final seven games and are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2018. The offense revolves around third-year quarterback Justin Herbert, who hit on 68.2 percent of his passes for 4,739 yards and 25 scores while committing 13 turnovers.

Running back Austin Ekeler had another productive year with 1,637 yards from scrimmage. Khalil Mack led the team in sacks but the Chargers finished 28th in the league vs. the run.

60. . 13-4. . Minnesota Vikings. 8. team

8. Minnesota Vikings

After suffering through consecutive sub-.500 campaigns, the Purple Gang won the NFC North for the first time since 2017. Under first-time NFL head coach Kevin O’Connell, 11 of the team’s 13 victories were by eight points or less.

In four losses, the Vikings were outscored a combined 139-50 count. The duo of quarterback Kirk Cousins and wide receiver Justin Jefferson were nearly unstoppable, but only the Lions gave up more total yards per game.

. Dallas Cowboys. 7. team. 123. . 12-5

7. Dallas Cowboys

The team has not only posted consecutive 12-win seasons but is making consecutive playoff appearances for the first time since 2006 and ’07. However, Mike McCarthy’s club has been a bit inconsistent, especially on defense and most notably against the run. That can be bad news in the playoffs.

Dallas led the NFL in takeaways for the second straight year but also gave up the ball 23 times, with 16 of those miscues via quarterback Dak Prescott.
