Predicting AFC West head coaches in 2023

Las Vegas Raiders: Josh McDaniels

For the record, I don’t think Josh McDaniels should be an NFL head coach. We’ll see how long he lasts in Las Vegas, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see him as someone’s offensive coordinator again in the near future. He’s just not head coach material. Exhibit A is everything going on with Derek Carr and that whole saga right now with the Raiders. McDaniels alienated Jay Cutler when he was in Denver, and 14 years later, he’s alienating Carr.

We can all see the common denominator here.

Kansas City Chiefs: Andy Reid

Everyone knows that Andy Reid is bulletproof as the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. He’s going to be in that seat as long as he wants it and he deserves it.

Reid has been tremendous for the Chiefs who have not only been dominant in recent years with Patrick Mahomes under center, but people forget that Kansas City had some really good teams under Reid when Peyton Manning and the Broncos ruled the AFC West.

Reid is simply one of the best offensive minds in the game today and his whole operation is elite.
