The Senior Bowl is now in the books. The Chicago Bears got an up close and personal view of potential prospects. While the game was fun to watch the more important impact was how the prospects did at practices throughout the week.
The Bears were represented well in Mobile last week. Offensive coordinator Luke Getsy was one of the head coaches. Additionally, two other assistants were on staff. General manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus both attended and watched the players so the Bears had plenty of eyes on the field.

What did they see? They got a better understanding of what these prospects could do against top competition. In addition, they see how they handle adversity. Since all the prospects there are top-notch, there will be moments when they get beat. That is something they will experience a lot in the pros as well.
The Bears brass has a certain type of player they want to go after. Being on the field and having the coaches work with them is critical to find out which of those prospects are ready to be a part of what this regime is looking for.
There were a number of prospects the Bears brass have in mind for choosing. Some others could have opened their eyes, however. They might have been able to put themselves on Chicago’s radar. That will make Poles’ decision a little bit tougher to make.
