NFL Picks, score predictions for Super Bowl LVII: Chiefs vs. Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles face off against the Kansas City Chiefs on February 12, 2023, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Every contributing writer for the NFL Spin Zone was asked to provide their Super Bowl LVII prediction and final NFL picks of the 2022-23 season.

Let’s take a look at who our writers believe is going to come out on top in “The Game.”

Terence Watson- Eagles 34 – Chiefs 27

The injuries that the Chiefs sustained on their way to the Super Bowl are going to be tough to overcome against this aggressive Eagles defense. Patrick Mahomes will do his best to keep them in the game but the Eagles will do enough through the air attacking the rookie secondary of the Chiefs to pick up the win. 

Ronnie Eastham- Eagles 27 – Chiefs 21

The Eagles are dominant in the trenches.  They have the best offensive line in all of football and their defense recorded 70 sacks on the year, two from the all-time record. This proves to be too much for the Mahomes and the Chiefs to overcome.

Sayre Bedinger- Eagles 34- Chiefs 31

The one area where the Kansas City Chiefs seem to truly be better than the Philadelphia Eagles — on paper — is at the QB position. And the Eagles have an MVP candidate there. This matchup will come down to which offense can minimize mistakes, and who can win in the trenches, and that’s what the Eagles have done all year long.

Brendan Danaher- Eagles 35- Chiefs 31

After the Super Bowl loss in 2020, the Chiefs are definitely hungry for another title but this won’t be the year for them. The Eagles have superior talent at almost every position over the Chiefs. The coaching advantage definitely goes to the Chiefs but the lack of playmakers at the receiver position will play a part in the Chiefs’ loss.

No love for the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII NFL picks

The contest winner is hard to determine in a Super Bowl that has the league’s number one defense (Eagles) up against the number one offense in the league (Chiefs). Regardless, the contributing writers that have participated have unanimously decided on a winner however the only difference of opinion is the point spread. The largest margin of victory in our predictions was seven while the smallest has “The Game” being decided by three points.

There you have it; all of our contributing writers that decided to put their stamp on a prediction for Super Bowl LVII have decided that the Eagles will likely prevail. We’ll find out Sunday night if we were right when the 2022 NFL season officially concludes and a world champion will be crowned.
