After winning it all, the Kansas City Chiefs will have some free agents set to hit the open market, with these five being the most important

In a Super Bowl for the ages, the Kansas City Chiefs knocked off the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35. While they celebrate now, there will be some tough decisions ahead for the World Champions.

Kansas City is going to have several free agents this offseason and here, we look at the top five players they need to make the call on.

5. Jerick McKinnon, RB

A third-round pick out of Georgia Southern in 2014, Jerick McKinnon began his career with the Minnesota Vikings and was an impressive No. 2 back behind Adrian Peterson. In four seasons, he had 1,918 yards on the ground and 984 as a receiver.

He then left in free agency and joined the San Francisco 49ers but was plagued with injuries for two seasons. After missing 2018 and 2019, he played sparingly in 2020 for the Niners before heading to Kansas City in 2021.

McKinnon was hardly used that year but that changed in 2022. At 30 years old, he had a re-birth with the Chiefs and recorded 56 receptions for 512 yards with nine touchdowns.

He continued to play well in the Super Bowl, running for 34 yards on just four attempts and adding 15 yards on three receptions. He even lined up as a fullback and paved the way for Isiah Pacheco to run in a touchdown.

His role as a receiving back was huge for them this year, making him one of their top free agents heading into the offseason.
