2. JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR

Originally a second-round pick for the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2017, JuJu Smith-Schuster developed into a star right away. He had 917 yards as a rookie and 1,426 in year two — while hauling in 111 receptions that year as well.

Then, things went in the wrong direction. Smith-Schuster seemed to be more interested in making TikTok videos and dancing on the opposing team’s midfield logos before games. This led to some hard hits coming his way and eventually, the Steelers seemed tired of him as well.

This led to his exit in 2022 and the Kansas City Chiefs were the ones to give him another shot. He signed a one-year deal that could be worth more than $10 million with incentives. He didn’t put up the numbers we saw in 2018 but it was by far his best campaign since then.

Smith-Schuster had 78 catches for 933 yards and three touchdowns. He’s not a prototypical No. 1 wide receiver but in an offense with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, he can be dangerous. And he was dangerous in the title game, catching seven passes for 53 yards.

Of course, the question now comes down to pay. If Smith-Schuster is looking for a raise, the Chiefs might decide to go elsewhere. There will be some options on the open market and they did well with his addition, which could lead to them looking for another reclamation project rather than breaking the bank.
