The Philadelphia Eagles lost Super Bowl LVII against the Kansas City Chiefs, and now they’ll have to reload for the 2023 season with a bitter taste in their mouths. The Super Bowl loss was brutal, but luckily, the Eagles have one of the best GMs in the NFL in Howie Roseman who has constructed two NFC Champions in the last seven years.

But the Eagles have some big-time free agents coming up in 2023, and the list is not short. Let’s take a look through their top 10 free agents, in no particular order.

Top 10 free agents for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023

Javon Hargrave, DL

After coming over from the Pittsburgh Steelers, Javon Hargrave has helped give the Philadelphia Eagles one of the best and most dynamic defensive lines in the game. He finished the 2022 season with 11.0 sacks and has established himself as a dominant force on the interior. He will get big money from the Eagles or any other team in the market for impact players on the interior.

CJ Gardner-Johnson, DB

The Eagles absolutely stole CJ Gardner-Johnson in a preseason trade with the New Orleans Saints. An exchange of borderline irrelevant draft picks brought the defensive back to Philly where he picked off a career-high six passes. Entering his age-26 season, Gardner-Johnson picked a great time to have the best year of his pro career.

Jason Kelce, C

It feels wrong to think of Jason Kelce in any other team’s uniform. If he continues to play, which he absolutely could, Kelce would still be one of the best centers in the league heading into next season. The five-time All-Pro will be 36 next season but he’s still the anchor of arguably the best offensive line in the NFL.

Miles Sanders, RB

NFL Free Agency in 2023 might as well be considered the year of the running back. This class of running backs is deep, talented, and it’s tough to know how to project the market as a result. Sanders had a huge year for the Eagles, racking up nearly 1,300 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.

James Bradberry, CB

The New York Giants foolishly made Bradberry a salary cap casualty last offseason, and their loss was their division rival’s gain. Bradberry paired with Darius Slay to give Jonathan Gannon’s defense one of the top secondaries in the game. Bradberry was an outstanding pickup for Philadelphia, and could follow Gannon to Arizona if he gets the Cardinals gig.

Brandon Graham, EDGE

Brandon Graham has been at it since 2010, and he’s coming off of a career-best 11.0 sacks for the Eagles in 2022. It feels like he’s an Eagles lifer at this point. Just like with Jason Kelce, it would be weird to see Graham in any other uniform in 2023.

Isaac Seumalo, OG

The Philadelphia Eagles boast one of the best offensive lines in the game, but they are deep, which means players like Isaac Seumalo could go elsewhere to pave the way for players like Cam Jurgens. Seumalo’s status with the team might depend on what Jason Kelce decides to do in 2023.

Fletcher Cox, DL

Fletcher Cox will be 33 years old in 2023, but he’s still capable of playing at a top-flight level. He racked up 7.0 sacks, the most he’s had since 2018. Unlike in 2018, however, Cox had 25 pressures in 2022 compared to his 45 in 2018. Still, you’re not going to scoff at that production. That’s better than most interior defensive linemen. He will be coveted by contenders if he hits the market.

TJ Edwards, LB

TJ Edwards was all over the field for the Eagles in 2022, leading the team in tackles, racking up 10 tackles for loss, and breaking up seven passes on top of it. He has value on all three downs and if the Eagles have to say goodbye to Edwards in 2023, some team will be getting a very good linebacker at just 26 going on 27 years of age.

Gardner Minshew, QB

There may be “better” free agents for the Eagles but Gardner Minshew has got to be one of the top backup QBs in the NFL. Even if that’s just his ceiling right now, there’s tremendous value in that for a lot of NFL teams who have gone through tons of injuries at the position, and would undoubtedly have loved to have made the shrewd trade the Eagles did for Minshew a couple of years ago.
