Scouting Report. 6. player. 50. Pick Analysis. DT. Georgia. Jalen Carter

6. Detroit Lions (via Los Angeles Rams): Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia

Following a Week 1 win, the Detroit Lions lost seven games in a row and it seemed as though things were going in the wrong direction for Dan Campbell and his squad. Then, they suddenly went 8-2 from that point and wound up with a 9-8 record.

Detroit nearly made the playoffs, which seemed impossible following the 1-7 start to the year. While they didn’t make it in, they were able to keep the hated Packers out — which was a win for them.

Now, they still get to bring in more elite talent thanks to the Los Angeles Rams falling apart. Here, the Lions cash in the second Round 1 pick from the Matthew Stafford trade as they bring in Jalen Carter from Georgia. Last year, they added Aidan Hutchinson, now putting Carter on the same line will help them take yet another step forward.

32. Scouting Report. EDGE. Clemson. Myles Murphy. player. Pick Analysis. 7

7. Arizona Cardinals (via Las Vegas Raiders): Myles Murphy, EDGE, Clemson

Last year, the Arizona Cardinals lost Chandler Jones and this year, it’s J.J. Watt who will be on the way out. In an effort to shore up their pass rush, while getting younger on the defensive line, the Cards add Myles Murphy from Clemson.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds making him capable of playing in whatever front their eventual new coach decides is best.
