1. Buffalo Bills

Anyone who watched Josh Allen in the second half of the season could tell something was off. He wasn’t bad, by any means, but he was turning the ball over more than usual and struggled at times to throw some of the eye-popping passes we’re used to seeing from him.

Now that the 2022 campaign is in the books, we see what was going on. Allen suffered an elbow injury on Nov. 6 and it was worse than he led on. In fact, there was an expectation that he could need surgery in the offseason.

He escaped that and should make a full recovery with rest. As long as that’s the case, the Buffalo Bills are always a team to watch out for.

Their defense could stand to improve and that should happen with the return of Von Miller. There’s also an expectation that they’re going to upgrade the running back position as well.

The one issue to monitor is Stefon Diggs and his happiness. Following their loss to Cincinnati, Diggs was frustrated and let it be known. His brother, Trevon Diggs, is now openly campaigning to bring him to Dallas with him.

Of course, much of his frustration had to do with losing in the playoffs, so it’s far too early to panic. Plus, we saw with the Chiefs that an elite quarterback can still get it done even if they lose a dominant wideout. And Allen is in the elite discussion, making them a threat once again in 2023.
