Atlanta Falcons: Land Lamar Jackson

There are a few teams that will be interested in trading for Lamar Jackson but one that makes a lot of sense is the Atlanta Falcons. They already have an offense centered around mobile quarterbacks and they can even offer Desmond Ridder in a package for Jackson.

Baltimore seems to have faith in Tyler Huntley but adding Ridder would give them insurance. On top of that, the Falcons have the eighth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft which is going to be an enticing piece of the trade package.

Atlanta knows how much an offense can benefit from a quarterback capable of topping 1,000 yards on the ground as they quickly become one of the NFC favorites with this move.

New Orleans Saints: Re-sign Andy Dalton, drafts Hendon Hooker

Andy Dalton wasn’t exactly great with the New Orleans Saints in 2022 but he was a decent game manager. For that reason, they’ll be looking to bring him back this offseason. However, that doesn’t mean they won’t go after a future signal-caller.

New Orleans is too far back in the draft to take any of the top quarterbacks but they can still pull off a solid move by taking Hendon Hooker out of Tennessee. Hooker was on a roll this season, even leading Tennessee to a huge win over Alabama before suffering an ACL tear.

He might not be ready in Week 1 but that’s why bringing back Dalton is the winning move. Now, they can take their time getting their youngster ready and throwing him out when he’s comfortable.
