Indianapolis Colts: Moves to No. 1 for Bryce Young
It’s time for the Indianapolis Colts to get a young quarterback because the veteran retreads aren’t working. Rookie head coach Shane Steichen has been praised for his work with Jalen Hurts and now gets another promising young quarterback to work with in Bryace Young.
Landing Young won’t be easy since the Colts aren’t on the clock until No. 4 but they make a bold move to move up. It won’t be cheap as the Chicago Bears hold all the cards but it will be worth it — as long as Young (who is under 6-foot-tall and less than 200 pounds) can hold up in the NFL.
Houston Texans: C.J. Stroud joins, wins ROY
While the predictions for the No. 1 pick continue to flood in, the consensus at No. 2 seems to remain the same. The Houston Texans are expected to stay put and take C.J. Stroud out of Ohio State. Should the actual draft work this way, it would be a huge win for the Texans.
Young might be the better overall prospect but Stroud doesn’t have the size concerns that his Alabama counterpart does. Here, he lands with a team that should have some life under DeMeco Ryans — and they can land more weapons for him as well thanks to the fact that they have another selection at No. 12 overall.
In the end, this should put Stroud in position to take home the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
