Pittsburgh Steelers: Are very quiet in the offseason

Mike Tomlin was written off at one point in 2022 but then won six of their final seven games to finish with a record of 9-8. That means the Pittsburgh Steelers have yet to finish with a losing record under Tomlin.

Considering their struggles to start the season, there will be expectations that they go after a few big names in free agency. But that’s not likely going to be the case.

Pittsburgh has been one of the better teams in the NFL when it comes to drafting. They’re typically built from within and it’s rare to see them pull off huge moves like when they traded for Minkah Fitzpatrick.

With that being said, this offseason should be quiet in Steel City. They’ll surely draft well but any free-agent additions will be simply to fill holes. And in the end, it will lead to another winning season.

Cleveland Browns: Don’t add any free-agent WRs

Even after trading for Amari Cooper, the Cleveland Browns wide receiver corps is very thin. After Cooper, they have Donovan Peoples-Jones, and then no one else that’s proven. This has led to a belief that they’re going to add more talent to build around Deshaun Watson.

While they might do that, it’s not going to happen in free agency. This class is pretty underwhelming and the Browns don’t have the cap space to get into a bidding war for average players.

Instead, they’ll continue with Cooper and DPJ as No. 1 and No. 2 and look for bargains in the 2023 NFL Draft — most likely another third-round pick.
