Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Get accused of tanking in 2023

Tom Brady retiring didn’t change much for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who weren’t expected to bring him back in 2023. Also not expected was for them to contend this season.

Tampa Bay has a decent roster but even with Brady, they couldn’t finish with a winning record. Now, they’re roughly $55 million over the cap and will have to make some serious moves just to get under the limit.

Knowing they’re likely going nowhere this season, this prediction is that they unload a lot of their big contracts. Players such as Shaq Barrett, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Devin White, and Vita Vea could all bring back some decent draft capital while opening up space. In an effort to build for the future, they could unload some of these players leading to accusations of tanking.

Carolina Panthers: Josh Jacobs replaces Run CMC

Christian McCaffrey was traded to the San Francisco 49ers which helped both the Carolina Panthers and the Niners in 2022. Now in 2023, the Panthers can use their draft picks added in the trade to fill out their roster for new head coach Frank Reich. They can also go after another top-tier running back, such as Josh Jacobs.

Reich understands what an elite back can do for an offense after having Jonathan Taylor in Indianapolis. Now, he adds Jacobs as the reigning rushing champ cashes in during free agency.
