1. Draft a playmaker in the 2023 NFL Draft

Explosive offenses are the thing of the NFL. We see multiple teams with two and three wideouts. Take the Bengals, for example. They have three studs in J’Marr Chase, Tyler Boyd, and Tee Higgins. Whether they keep Desmond Ridder or sign a player like Derek Carr or Jimmy Garoppolo, Terry Fontenot will need to add more weapons to the offense. They can’t wait for free agency given how weak this class is.

Kyle Pitts and Drake London can dominate through the air in Arthur Smith’s offense. Give them a dynamic player who can play inside and out — you have the offensive recipe worthy of a Super Bowl. With Arthur Smith’s use of RPOs and quick passes, Flowers is the type of guy the Falcons need.

Flowers isn’t a big receiver; in fact, he’s listed at 5’9″. But size isn’t necessary for an offense that features London and Pitts. What he does best is make plays with the ball in his hands. He has fantastic change of direction, which allows him to get open in short areas. After the catch, he snatches would-be tacklers’ souls with his ankle-breaking moves. He’s an excellent Z receiver who works well on all three levels.

London and Pitts can line up on the boundary and Flowers in the slot, or he can line up opposite London with Pitts at tight end. Jalin Hyatt is another option with a similar skill set.
