Allen Lazard, Green Bay Packers

Allen Lazard would be a great fit in Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy’s system. Getsy worked with the hated Green Bay Packers before he came to Chicago.

Lazard played all five of his seasons in Green Bay. He understands what Getsy wants to do and the terminology. The learning curve won’t be as big with him as it would be with other players. We saw how Fields, Darnell Mooney, and Chase Claypool struggled to try to adjust to Getsy’s system.

Another benefit of having Lazard is the possibility of hurting the Packers. Lazard was one of Aaron Rodgers’ go-to receivers after Green Bay traded DaVante Adams last season. There were a number of times he helped kill the Bears by making some big catches. Now he can do it to the Packers while wearing a Chicago Bears uniform.

Lazard is not flashy but he is solid in just about everything he does. He could be the glue that keeps the unit together to make it a strong one.
