3 Must-Watch Rookies at the NFL Combine

With debates swirling about who will be drafted at the top and whether the Bears will even keep the No. 1 overall pick, there’s no shortage of storylines heading into Indy next week.

As teams figure out what their respective futures hold, here are the top players I’m watching:

Bryce Young, QB

The Alabama standout seemed like a sure thing to go No. 1 overall, but recent concerns about his size and durability have led to steam for guys like C.J. Stroud, Will Levis, and even Anthony Richardson.

I have no questions about Young’s athleticism or ability, but I’m most interested in how he measures. Pictures of Young and Stroud next to each other make Young look very, very small, and teams will be concerned about his size if his measurables aren’t up to par.

Keep an eye on Young, because his combine results will go a long way in determining who will be the No. 1 overall pick.

Zay Flowers, WR

The Boston College product has risen dramatically up draft boards in the last couple of months, and scouts expect him to shine at the Combine.

Flowers finished with over 1,000 yards and 12 TDs last season, and his exceptional quickness will make him a favorite of teams next week.

If he can deliver on his promise with a strong combine, don’t be shocked to see his odds to be the first receiver taken shrink. Now may be the perfect time to use one of the above promos to bet on Flowers, as his odds are likely to only decrease.

Nolan Smith, DL

A force on Georgia’s championship defensive line, Smith started 22 consecutive games for the Bulldogs before suffering a season-ending injury.

Smith is someone I thought could go in the top 15 selections of the NFL Draft prior to his injury, so I’ll have my eye on him at the combine. If he performs well and shows he’s recovered from his pectoral injury, expect his stock to rise.

Whether you’re placing a bet on an NFL Draft prop or considering a futures wager, just be sure to utilize BetMGM and Caesars’ excellent promos. You’ve got up to $2,250 in bonus bets waiting for you, so don’t waste any more time and sign up now!

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
