2. Will the Packers trade Aaron Rodgers?

"All the answers are right inside me, and I touched many of them — and definitely the feelings — on both sides during the darkness. Aaron Rodgers"

Aaron Rodgers is something else, isn’t he? As he’s been described in the past — a “complicated fella”.

What are the Green Bay Packers going to do here? It’s been almost three years since the team selected Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Moved up to get him, in fact. Aaron Rodgers won back-to-back MVP awards in 2020 and 2021 but the Packers — as a whole — took a huge step back in 2022. This team may need to make the major change at QB they’ve been waiting to make. Is it finally Jordan Love time?

This is the do-or-die situation for the Packers in the 2023 NFL offseason, but it’s also a do-or-die situation for Aaron Rodgers. If Rodgers wants to play another couple of seasons, he could probably do it in Green Bay if he wants. I think the Packers would be ready to move on from Rodgers if he gave them the word, but I also think there’s enough proof at this point that they would also just as soon welcome him back.

Rodgers has always stated he wants to finish his career with one team. I think he’s earned the right to take as much time as he needs to make such a massive decision, a decision that will affect so many different teams.

Ultimately, what the Packers and Rodgers agree to do this offseason is going to take us down a very interesting path. If he stays in Green Bay, it really feels like he’s just going to be going down with the ship. If he leaves Green Bay, we’re entering Tom Brady in Tampa Bay territory, where he will have two or maybe three years to win as much as possible before retiring.

If he retires, that would be sad. He’s too good to stop playing now.

A fresh start on a new team could really rejuvenate Rodgers, and it will undoubtedly be one of the biggest storylines of 2023.
