Las Vegas Raiders dream target no. 1: Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens

Quarterback Lamar Jackson is the most high-profile quarterback currently on the free agent market. The headlines are dominated by storylines regarding the tumultuous contract negotiations between the Baltimore Ravens and Jackson. Jackson is one of the most electrifying sports figures in the country, let alone the NFL.

Jackson is a one-man wrecking crew and he wants to be paid for it.

The Raiders have a gaping hole at the quarterback position and the likes of Jimmy Garoppolo or Jacoby Brissett won’t exactly fill it. If Raiders owner Mark Davis wants to make a splash signing Jackson would certainly get fans excited and reinvigorate the city of Las Vegas. The city needs a spark after a disappointing 6-11 season and the subsequent departure of quarterback Derek Carr.

Acquiring Jackson would require a substantial amount of draft picks and financial commitment but it could be worthwhile if Jackson can bring a championship to the desert.
