10 dream targets for the Las Vegas Raiders in NFL Free Agency
Las Vegas Raiders dream target no. 9: Jordan Poyer, S, Bills
There have been arguments that Tremaine Edmunds was simply a piece of the Bills’ defense. The same critics suggest that Edmunds otherwise would not be as good on another team. So why not pair him with another Buffalo Bills defensive star?
Safety Jordan Poyer is looking for a new team and the Las Vegas Raiders have a huge need in the secondary.
"A lot of people ask me, ‘Oh, if it wasn’t Buffalo, where would you go?’ I kind of ponder the question every once in a while. I would love to go to a state that doesn’t take half of my money,” Poyer said. … Taxes play a big part in all of our lives, especially at the level we play at. You look at some of your checks and some places you go take half of your check away. You are wondering where is that money even going. Jordan Poyer"
Johnathan Abram was released midway through the season and safety Tre’von Moehrig has been effective but is inconsistent. Poyer has stated he would be willing to play for a new franchise and is healthy. Poyer has played 10 seasons in the NFL logging 24 interceptions and 50 pass breakups. The Raiders haven’t had a safety that accomplished since Charles Woodson.
