Las Vegas Raiders dream target no. 6: Javon Hargrave, DL, Eagles

The Raiders have a budding star in Maxx Crosby at the defensive end position. The Raiders’ defensive line still generated a mere 27 sacks, the third lowest in the NFL in 2022. The Philadelphia Eagles are first on that list with 70 total sacks.

Defensive tackle Javon Hargrave had 11 of those sacks, almost half of the total sacks the Raiders notched in 2022. The Raiders have lacked pressure from the interior of the defensive line for some time now. Las Vegas has had to rely heavily on Maxx Crosby despite signing defensive end Chandler Jones in the offseason of 2022.

Hargrave is a true disrupter on the defensive line and despite being 30 years old he is the best option at DT with Daron Payne being tagged by the Commanders.  Hargrave is not only a dominant force against the run but can be effective as a pass rusher as well. Hargrave was a huge part of the Eagles’ Super Bowl run. While it was unsuccessful in the end the Eagles aren’t likely to let him go. If the Raiders are able to whisk Hargrave away from Philadelphia they will have to pay big.
