Las Vegas Raiders dream target no. 5: Jamel Dean, CB, Buccaneers

Jamel Dean has been a star at the cornerback position in Tampa Bay. Dean is smart, fast, and instinctive, and is a weapon against the run as well as the pass. Dean missed a few games in 2022 due to injury however he logged 46 solo tackles and similar to Tremaine Edmunds, he only missed one.

Dean, similar to many of the free agents on this list, is coming off a fairly recent Super Bowl win in 2020. The Bucs will be entering 2022 without a quarterback and several of their defensive players from that historic season are gone or entering free agency. Dean will be looking for a contract that aligns with his resume and strong play.

If Dean can only work on his ball skills as both of his interceptions came in the same game and he dropped quite a few would-be picks in 2022. Regardless he would be an instant upgrade at the cornerback position which is a weak area for the Raiders.
