2. Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have had their fair share of problems, including Tua Tagovailoa’s health and a lack of commitment to the run by head coach Mike McDaniels. Adding a reliable running back who can carry the load late in games, such as Derrick Henry, could make all the difference. Henry’s punishing running style is particularly valuable during the latter part of the season when the Fins travel to cold-weather cities.

Currently, the Dolphins don’t have any running backs on their roster, and the impending free agency of Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson could leave the team without any good options. With the lack of depth at the running back position in the NFL draft, the Dolphins could benefit from trading for a workhorse like Derrick Henry.

Mike McDaniel’s skills in creating and designing runs would undoubtedly make the best use of Henry’s talents. Henry is a powerful downhill runner who makes quick decisions and evades would-be tacklers with ease. With Henry in the backfield, McDaniels would have a reliable weapon to turn to should anything happen to Tua Tagovailoa.

Chris Grier has shown that he’s not afraid to make a blockbuster move, and he should seriously consider trading for Derrick Henry. A player of his caliber could be the missing piece that puts the Dolphins over the top.
