Having too many offensive linemen is never a bad thing. The Chicago Bears want to improve the unit as much as possible. Additionally, there have been plenty of gems that came from the seventh round.

Poles takes Connor Galvin with this pick. Galvin is a developmental swing tackle. With the number of offensive linemen already on the roster, Connor can sit and develop without having to take too many impactful snaps.

Galvin is an athletic big man. He is 6-foot-7 and weighs 295 pounds. He is athletic for his size. He has quick feet and a good feel for angles. He could be a good reserve lineman by playing multiple positions along the line.

At Baylor, they ran a lot of pass sets. Because of that, we have a better idea of Galvin’s pass-blocking ability. In addition, he has plenty of experience, having started 50 games. He has a high football IQ and recognizes what pass rushers are doing and when to pass off defenders to the interior.
