The bulk of free agency is over, but we can still see some major moves happen. Let’s make a starting offense with some of the remaining free agents.
Last year, I made a starting offense and a starting defense with remaining free agents. We’re roughly two weeks into free agents and quite a few players are still on the board and a free to sign with any team.
There will still be a plethora of free agents that get signed between now and the beginning of the 2023 season. Just because someone signs late does not mean they aren’t an excellent player. Being the first to sign really means nothing if they don’t perform well on the field.
Let’s make a starting offense with remaining free agents.
Making a starting offense with remaining NFL free agents: Quarterback and Running back
Quarterback: Carson Wentz
Carson Wentz is the best-remaining quarterback free agent available, and if he’s got good coaching, he is still a starting-caliber player in the NFL. Wentz had a career resurgence in 2021 with Frank Reich but played quite poorly in 2022 with the Washington Commanders.
Running back: Kareem Hunt
Kareem Hunt was in the shadow of Nick Chubb for a little while in Cleveland, and now he surely hopes to land with a team where he can be a true RB1. He’s got elite talent for the position and is still 27 years old.
