The Chicago Bears own the ninth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. What does general manager Ryan Poles do with the pick?

Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles has been a busy man this offseason. He had almost $100 million in salary cap space and has definitely spent it.

Poles added 10 new players (and counting) to help improve a roster that won only three games in 2022. After all that spending, he still has about $38.2 million to spend, which is still the most money available in the league.

Where will the Chicago Bears go with the 9th overall pick?

While Poles will likely add more veteran players his main attention now turns to the draft. The Bears had the number one overall pick until Poles traded the pick to the Carolina Panthers. He received the ninth and 61st pick in this year’s draft, a 2024 first-round pick, and a 2025 second-round pick. Additionally, he acquired wide receiver D.J. Moore.
