3. Tennessee Titans should trade for Aaron Rodgers

It seems, on the surface, like the Tennessee Titans are rebuilding. They have certainly made a lot of moves under new general manager Ran Carthon to indicate as much. The most recent rumor has the Titans apparently looking into moving up into that third overall pick spot where the Arizona Cardinals are currently slated to pick.

It looks like Carthon and Mike Vrabel might be more inclined to go after their QB of the future rather than bring in another veteran option at this point in time, but this is Aaron Rodgers we’re talking about. The Titans have been a surprise contender in the AFC for the last few years. As many great QBs as there are in that conference, the Titans have found their way into the mix for the majority of the last four years and Vrabel has established himself as a top-tier coach in the league.

It just so happens that Justin Outten, a former assistant on the Packers’ staff, is now on the Titans’ staff as well.

Again, it feels like the Titans are more inclined to go after a young quarterback right now, but Ran Carthon might be able to get Rodgers for multiple day two picks and perhaps still land his preferred QB of the future at some point. Why would the Titans make this move? Because this is a team that has been knocking on the door of being a title contender and Rodgers would push them over the top.

This isn’t the same Titans team that made it to the AFC Championship game a few years back. Again, there have been a lot of changes to this roster. But we’ve seen consistent winning from this team when Ryan Tannehill is healthy, so imagine what they could do with Rodgers in the mix.

With the backing of a strong Titans defense and the ability to hand the ball off to Derrick Henry, the Titans could be in business if they found a way to swoop in and land Aaron Rodgers.
