Pick Analysis. . player. Scouting Report. Defensive Interior. Bryan Bresee. 19. 879

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Bryan Bresee, DL, Clemson

Bryan Bresee is massive at 6’6″ but weighs “only” 298 pounds.  There is room to grow for this interior defensive lineman and his only 21 years old.  Adding another player like Bresee to play alongside Vita Vea, would give the Buccaneers a huge push in the middle of their line.

While Tampa Bay may have bigger needs, Bresee would be the best player available, according to many draft boards and let’s not forget, despite having Tom Brady during their Super Bowl win, it was the pass rush from the Bucs that won them that Super Bowl title.

Bresee was a high school phenom and was the number one rated high school recruit and a two-time USA Today All-American in high school.  All Bresee would do his freshman year at Clemson was go on to be named ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year and voted to the Freshman All-American teams by The Athletic, ESPN, and Rivals.

Bresee has all the tools to be a great defensive lineman in the NFL but will need further development, having played in only 25 career games at college, equating to only 884 total snaps.  He also suffered an ACL tear in 2021 and shoulder surgery in January 2022.
