According to Adam Schefter, six teams are interested in the Cardinals’ third overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. These teams would presumably be interested in the pick to take a QB in the draft. By the time, the third pick comes around, one of C.J. Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Bryce Young will still be available in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Before getting to the Cardinals part of this, the big winner in all of this is the Seattle Seahawks. It seems now with four QBs going in what seems like the first four picks, the Seahawks will able to take the best player in the draft (regardless of positional value) in Will Anderson. The real loser in all of this is the Colts who are now gonna have to pick the last available tier 1 QB.

Indianapolis will most certainly take a QB because they don’t have any starting caliber vets to play this season in order to wait till next season’s class of QBs.

As reported by Daniel Jeremiah in a previous report, the Raiders, and Tennessee were two teams that could trade up with the Cardinals. As I mentioned in a previous article, these trade options are very feasible to happen.

This report by Adam Schefter seems to signal that the pick will be most likely traded to one of these six teams. While Arizona could certainly keep the pick if they don’t get the offer they want, trading the pick certainly seems like what will happen.

Arizona’s defense needs a serious talent upgrade and getting a bounty full of picks could certainly help them improve multiple positional groups.

Especially with the fact that Kyler Murray will be recovering and missing time with an ACL tear this season, it might make sense for the Cardinals’ front-office management to treat this season as a “gap year” or a year to develop their talent.

Arizona may end up keeping the pick and taking Will Anderson to give them a cornerstone talent for the future. Still, it is more likely that they will trade the pick after this report by Adam Schefter to rebuild their entire defense.
