Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy had a very solid and consistent 2022 season, and the 2023 campaign could be where he hits his stride.  Jeudy has battled through some ugly quarterback situations during his career, and if the Broncos can figure something out with Sean Payton and Russell Wilson in 2023, Jeudy could truly break out and make a ton of noise.

In his rookie season, he managed 856 receiving yards with a poorly-playing Drew Lock.  In 2021, he was injured for a good chunk of the season but was catching passes from Teddy Bridgewater.

In 2022, he was catching passes from Russell Wilson, who seemingly forgot how to play football, but he still managed 972 yards and six touchdowns, setting early career highs in receptions, yards, and touchdowns.

In looking at his game log in 2022, Jeudy finished the season at an insane pace but was quite consistent all season.  So, basically missed three full games in 2022: he left very early against the Titans in week 10 and also missed the games in week 11 and week 12.

Of the games he started and finished, 14 of them, he had at least 53 receiving yards in 11 of those games.

In 11/14 games he started and finished, he put up at least 53 yards.  That is a wildly consistent pace.  He had three games of 102 receiving yards or more, and had the following yardage outputs over the last five games of the season:

73, 76, 117, 38, 164

If we took those last five games and averaged them out for an entire season, also counting receptions and touchdowns, Jerry Jeudy would have had:

139 receptions, 1,591 yards, and 10 touchdowns over a 17-game season.  That is WR1, All-Pro type of production that Jerry Jeudy had over the last five games of the 2022 season.  Just imagine if Jeudy is able to thrive in a Sean Payton offense, which has been among the league’s best since he became a head coach in the NFL.

I don’t think the Denver Broncos should trade him.  He’s got Pro Bowl-type of talent and is only entering his age-24 season in the NFL.  Watch out for Jerry Jeudy in 2023.
