4. DeAndre Hopkins could be traded during the 2023 NFL Draft

This is a tough one to navigate because teams seem to be hesitant to trade for Hopkins because of his contract. This may lead to the Cardinals being forced to ultimately release Hopkins.

A trade is still very much on the table, but the longer a deal is not struck, the less compensation Arizona will receive for the 30-year-old wideout.

The Cardinals are entering a rebuilding season, large in part because of Kyler Murray’s ACL injury, but also because of the turmoil the organization is in right now. Everything is trending toward a disastrous season for Arizona.

Getting younger and trading an aging asset like Hopkins is the most logical move for the Cardinals at this time. Murray’s contract will make it tough to sign expensive contracts elsewhere on the roster.

Hopkins’ talent would be wasted on this roster, and if the Cardinals want to get some value in a trade, they will have to lower their asking price.
