53. Siaki Ika, DL, Baylor

One of the most important positions on the Chicago Bears’ defense is the defensive tackle. If that player is doing his job, the edge rushers would have an easier time getting to the quarterback.

Getting to the quarterback was something that Chicago failed miserably at doing last season. They ranked last in sacks and quarterback pressure.

Siaki Ika helps change that. At 6-foot-3, 335 pounds, he takes up a lot of space. His size and athletic ability give offenses trouble. As a result, he sees a ton of double teams. With him being double-teamed, there will be an end that will be one-on-one and should be able to put pressure in the backfield.

Ika has heavy hands and he loves to fight (figuratively). He wants to fight in the trenches and push the offensive lineman back and knock him off-balance.

Jones has the power and quickness off the snap to be able to penetrate the backfield and ruin a play. Additionally, he is able to slide quickly before the snap to open up a rush lane for someone else.

Ika will be able to provide a lot of assistance to his defensive teammates. He will make their lives easier on the field. He might not get all the glory but the defense will thrive with him.
