The Chicago Bears get some help at attacking the quarterback with Tuli Tuipulotu. He has a tremendous mix of size (6-foot-3, 266 pounds), strength, and athleticism.
Tuipulotu has a high motor and he plays hard from the opening snap to the end of the game. He can play with his hand down or standing up. He is more of a power-based rusher.
Tuipulotu is able to play a number of different formations so he gives defensive coordinator Alan Williams flexibility. He is explosive off the snap and can give tackles or guards trouble depending on where he lines up.
Tuipulotu had an incredible 2022 season. He recorded 13.5 sacks and had 22 tackles for loss. That shows his ability to find the opponent’s backfield. Again, this is a sorely needed aspect that the Chicago Bears’ defense lacked last season.
Tuipilotu has not been linked to Chicago but he would be a great addition to the Bears’ defense.
