3. Arizona Cardinals: Will Anderson Jr., EDGE, Alabama
Would the Arizona Cardinals be trying to trade down from this slot? Maybe. I also can’t help but think they would simply take the best player available here which is clearly Will Anderson Jr. But the Cardinals could very easily justify trading down and saying, Will Anderson Jr. is good, but Christian Gonzalez and another handful of picks is better. The Cardinals aren’t in a position in this draft to just stay put here. They need to accumulate picks for one of the worst rosters in the league.
With that said, if they do stay put, there’s no doubt that Will Anderson Jr. would be a huge help. But Jonathan Gannon is a defensive backs guy, so we’ll see.
4. Indianapolis Colts: Will Levis, QB, Kentucky
The rumors about the Indianapolis Colts absolutely loving Will Levis simply refuse to go away. Levis is about as polarizing as they come in the NFL Draft this year, but he’s certainly got the physical attributes, the arm talent, the athleticism, and the smarts to play QB at the NFL level. Perhaps a recent endorsement from Peyton Manning will tip the scales for the Colts. We all know that Jim Irsay is the driving force behind this pick and Will Levis seems to be very on-brand for Irsay.
