The Philadelphia Dawgs.

The Georgia Eagles.

Whatever you want to call them, if you point at a team photo of the 2021 Georgia Bulldogs with a blindfold on, there’s probably a decent chance you’re going to point at someone who is now on the Philadelphia Eagles.

Eagles GM Howie Roseman has been taking Bulldog after Bulldog over the last two years, something he jokingly admitted was tough for him as a Florida Gators grad. The Eagles not only landed Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, and Kelee Ringo in this draft, but they landed Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean in 2022.

It’s incredibly impressive how committed to the “bit” Roseman is. There is a reason this “bit” is so well-received, though. Georgia obviously has one of the best defenses in the country year in and year out, so it makes sense that the Eagles would load up on Bulldogs if the rest of the league is going to let them do it.

You add Tyler Steen and Sydney Brown with back-to-back picks at 65 and 66, and I think right there you’re getting two more starters for this team whether that’s in 2023 or 2024. Steen can step in and play guard whenever Jason Kelce calls it a career and Cam Jurgens takes over at center.

Brown can come in and play right away in this reloaded Eagles secondary which no longer includes Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.

Tanner McKee and Moro Ojomo round out a class that just has really great quality and depth. For a team to go win the NFC last year and have arguably the best overall class in the league? That’s saying something. You’re maximizing value, being smart with your assets, taking premium positions…

Not to mention, the Eagles traded a 2025 draft pick for running back D’Andre Swift (another Bulldog).
