2024 NFL Draft Prospect No. 3: Marvin Harrison JR, WR, Ohio State

Yes, this is the son of former NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison Sr., and the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree. Just like his dad, Harrison Jr is an impressive route runner with sure hands, and he consistently creates separation against cornerbacks with his excellent route running. In addition, Harrison Jr’s 6-foot-4, 205-pound frame helps him make contested catches and also run blocking.

In his first year at Ohio State, Harrison’s production was limited because he sat behind Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson, But his breakout game came in the Rose Bowl of that season, where he had six receptions for 76 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Last season, the national media started to notice how good Harrison is and his potential in the NFL. Harrison caught 77 passes for 1,265 yards and 14 touchdowns. Including a game in the College Football Playoff where Harrison was matched up against Keele Ringo (Eagles draft pick) and caught 5 passes for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Ohio State has a reputation for being one of the best Universities at producing wide receivers. In the past decade of NFL drafts, Ohio St has had receivers such as Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Terry Mclaurin, and Michael Thomas. So Harrison could be next in line to add his name to that list.

Harrion’s talent is undeniable, and he will be a 1st-round pick by this time next year. ESPN’s long-time NFL Draft Analyst Mel Kiper said, “If Marvin Harrison Jr were in this draft, he would be the Bears’ pick at No. 3”.
