A few NFL teams who did their thing in the 2023 off-season by filling some holes and adding some key pieces to help them take that next step.

The NFL is tough; there are always going to be questions for teams that don’t have a signal caller. Even then, a quarterback doesn’t solve all your problems; that’s what the off-season is for. There’s the draft, free agency, and trades as ways teams look to improve. This 2023 NFL offseason was as wild as years past, but some moves set teams up well for the future and the present. Look no further than the Miami Dolphins, who have a massive question mark with Tua Tagovailoa. However, they have one of the most explosive offenses. And after signing Vic Fangio as their DC and trading for Jalen Ramsey, they could have a dominant defense.

Another team was the Houston Texans. The struggling franchise added some key veteran free agents as blue-chip players to help their growing young roster. Robert Woods was added to bolster their receiving corps. Devin Singletary was added to bring depth to their running back spot. Meanwhile, Shaw Lawson would serve as a great veteran on defense. After re-signing some key guys, the Texans have a solid offensive line. They went into the draft with a plan to select their cornerstone players at quarterback and edge. The cornerstone pieces were quarterback CJ Stroud and defensive end Will Anderson, but they had more holes to fill. They are rebuilding.

Another team that did a fantastic job was the Philadelphia Eagles. They added some excellent players like DeAndre Swift to help the offense. Retaining their own guys was key, as was drafting the best player in the draft, defensive tackle Jalen Carter. Let’s be honest, the Eagles didn’t have any real weaknesses; they just added icing on the cake. While all those teams did a great job of improving their teams, there were others who answered some serious questions.
