D’Onta Foreman — The veteran challenger

One thing we notice in the new Chicago Bears rushing attack is that now they can hit you in different ways. While Herbert is a speedier back with elusiveness, D’Onta Foreman is more of a bruising back who can wear down the defense.

In 2022 for the Carolina Panthers, Foreman had 914 rushing yards and averaged 4.5 yards per carry. He also had 5 touchdown runs. In 2021 with the Tennessee Titans, he helped fill in for Derrick Henry and picked up 566 yards in just 9 games.

Foreman showed he can carry the workload, having rushed 203 times. He has proven his ability to handle a heavy workload and make an impact between the tackles.

Foreman has had a limited experience in the passing game but has done well. He averages 11.5 yards per catch in his career. He had a tough time with the passing game with Carolina’s troublesome quarterback situation last season, only averaging 5.2 yards per catch. In 2021, though, with a better passing game, he averaged 13.7 yards per catch.

With his bruising game, Foreman can be valuable blocking. He welcomes the hits and can help protect Fields.
