NFL Linebacker #3 Demario Davis

Ryan Nielson and Kris Richard split defensive responsibilities last season. They saw success, but not enough to win games. New Orleans ranked sixth in points allowed (344) but finished with a 7-10 record. A collaborative effort resulted in a mid-ranked defense. Demario Davis was a positive light – motivation for the upcoming season.

New Orleans relied on their veteran linebacker for four quarters. He ranked eleventh in total snaps (1,132) and recorded 93 tackles. His pass-rushing abilities (85.9) haunted opposing quarterbacks. Davis ranked seventh in PFF’s defensive rating (82.7). It was the second-highest rating in his career and, he’s focused on improving it this season.

NFL Linebacker #2 Tremaine Edmunds

When we think of the Bills, we think of Josh Allen. Isn’t he the face of the franchise? He is, but he isn’t the sole contributor to Buffalo’s current success streak. Leslie Frazier’s defense was feared. They ranked fourth in pass rush rating (78.8) – recording 59 sacks. Efficient
Performances from Tremaine Edmunds contributed to Buffalo’s reputation.

An excellent coverage rating (90) ranked Edmunds first among linebackers last season. He recorded 536 coverage snaps, locking down slot receivers and tight ends. His skill set will prevent quarterbacks from racking up yards. It’s the newest league trend, but the Bills will be prepared.
